Overview

The Graduate Organized Laborers of Dartmouth, United Electrical Workers Local 261 (GOLD-UE) represents all graduate students enrolled in Dartmouth degree programs who are employed to provide teaching and research service but excluding all undergraduate students; graduate students not seeking Dartmouth degrees, including visiting students; standardized patients, tutors, and graders (unless also receiving a stipend to perform teaching and research services, and then only for such stipend bearing services); office clericals; managers; guards and supervisors as defined in the National Labor Relations Act.

Support Funds

The Office of Labor Relations oversees the Childcare Support Fund, International Employee Support Fund, the Student Employee Support Fund, and the Student Employee Dependent Support Fund established through the collective bargaining agreement between Dartmouth College and GOLD-UE.  GOLD-UE members are eligible to apply for reimbursement for expenses covered by each fund in accordance with procedures, policies, and requirements established by Dartmouth.  For more information, about the funds please see the collective bargaining agreement found here.
